This is a recap for something that happened last week.
I managed to finish work around 5.30pm on Friday - Amir (my brother) & Iman (my eldest daughter) came earlier and settled their Asar prayers at my office.
It suddenly rained cats & dogs when we reached the office lobby. Thankfully, the car was parked exactly at the entrance (one of the perks of going home later than the normal crowd).
Took us 50 minutes to reach Aisyah & Hayla, who were at daycare. No buying extra candy at Family Mart or Emart after school as the children already had treats from Family Mart that very same morning, before going to school.
Upon reaching home, Tok Mama was already at the house, playing with Hariz.
As a method to ground the kids' energy, we took them to the nearest playground.
They played on the swings, took turns going down the slides, bounced crazily on seesaws and had an overall enjoyable time.
But we couldn't play for long as it looked like it was about to rain - we saw lightning flashed in the sky, however there was no rain yet.
The kids played for about 20 minutes and then we went home.
I ordered satay for dinner and was later joined by Tok Ayah (who came immediately once he heard we have food).
Overall it was a fairly productive day - the kids was knocked out by 9.30pm (a very good thing in my book!). I had some me time for 10-15 minutes before i dozed off.
I jotted this day down as it was a normal, fairly wonderful day for me. Goals of the week achieved, I managed to spend quality time with the kids and also managed to spend time with my in-laws.
Nothing too grand but memorable.
Till next time!
